The Other Race

So I’ve received my first disciplinary at work because I’m a homophobe.

Apparently pointing out a fact that ‘Lesbians like cats’ is unacceptable behaviour in the work environment and as a punishment (a severe one) I have been sent on the Cultural bus tour and a days training on Equality and Diversity.

The training day will be fine, boring but fine and can stay on my CV if I get sacked for being a racist or something.

Speaking of racism, apparently asking the member of Human Resources if they provide bulletproof vests for the bus tour through the city is also frowned upon.

Note to self, Yes I am hilariously funny and banter just falls out (often with bits of spittle) but I must learn to keep my comments to myself. Or write about them in a blog. Like this.

It then got me thinking that I haven’t ever been with a man of colour, any colour. I haven’t been attracted to one, or really been around any males other than white ones. You will have to excuse me if I come across as politically incorrect but I’m not aware of the terms I am able to use, as they change so bloody often (that’s a dig at you government!) Anyway I’m thinking about using the dating site to find myself a man of colour, any colour. I think you can learn a hell of a lot about cultures and foreign history through dating as all you do is talk, talk, talk.There are many misconceptions about men from other races e.g. Turkish men.

Apparently Turkish men like blonde women? Well my friend is dating a Turk and she’s a brunette.

Apparently Egyptian men like to swap women for camels? Well I’ve been to Egypt and I returned home with my parents, not a camel.

Apparently Black men like women with meat on their bones (fatties)? Well I don’t think that’s just black men, I think lots of men like a chubby or curvy woman (although some who wouldn’t want to admit)

So you see where I’m going with this. I shall date a man of colour, any colour for research and to answer some of life's age old questions such as, why do black people have pink palms?
