The Cwtch

The welsh word for a cuddle.

I’m pretty sure that this word is the cutest word ever. Being surrounded by welsh men recently allowed me to come to grips with his word and use it in the right instance.

No a cwtch is not the same as ‘spooning’ – although cwtching can also lead to ‘forking’.  It’s a very odd word. If a sexy welsh lad says he wants to cwtch with me, does this mean he fancies me or does he think I look soft and cuddly like a fat cushion?

Is it a compliment if a male wants to cwtch with you?

My mission is to find this out and ‘cwtch’ with as many welsh men as I can to simply prove a common misconception.
